La Torcia Brick Oven Pizza - Hernando Information

Tucked along E Parkway Street in Hernando, La Torcia Brick Oven Pizza - Hernando is the kind of spot that feels both casual and thoughtfully crafted, the kind of place you stumble into once and then keep coming back to when the craving for real, brick oven pizza hits. The location is easy to find at 2428 E Parkway St, and there’s a laid-back, welcoming vibe from the moment you walk in, with the warm scent of baking dough and melted cheese setting the tone right away.

The menu leans heavily into artisan-style pizzas, and that’s clearly where they shine. The brick oven makes a noticeable difference, giving the crust that slightly charred, crisp exterior while still staying soft and chewy inside. A classic margherita delivers exactly what you’d hope for-fresh tomato sauce, balanced seasoning, and just enough mozzarella to keep it rich without overwhelming the base. For something a bit more indulgent, their specialty combinations layer flavors in a way that feels intentional rather than overloaded, which isn’t always easy to pull off in a pizza-focused restaurant.

Beyond pizza, there’s enough variety on the menu to keep things interesting. Calzones, sandwiches, and a handful of appetizers round things out, making it a good option whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or settling in for a more relaxed dinner. Portion sizes are generous without being excessive, and the ingredients taste fresh, which adds to the overall experience. From what I could tell, they’re consistent about quality, something that shows up repeatedly in customer reviews online.

The atmosphere strikes a comfortable middle ground between family-friendly and casual hangout. It’s not overly loud, but it’s lively enough to feel like a local favorite. Service tends to be attentive without hovering; on a recent visit, orders came out promptly even during a busier stretch, and staff were quick to check in without making it feel rushed. That kind of balance goes a long way, especially in a neighborhood-style diner where regulars clearly make up a good portion of the crowd.

What stands out most is how grounded the whole experience feels. There’s no attempt to overcomplicate things or chase trends. Instead, La Torcia focuses on doing the basics really well-good dough, quality toppings, and a reliable, welcoming setting. While it may not have the polish of a big-city pizzeria, it makes up for that with consistency and a sense of authenticity that fits perfectly with the Hernando community.

What People's Say About Place

Always on mine and my crews go to list when working in Hernando!! Usually go in for the pizza but today I got a calzone!!! Definitely check this spot out if you haven’t been!!!

I was visiting on a work trip, when someone highly recommended this place. So glad I stopped in for lunch! The place is very nice and has a inviting environment. We were immediately seated and the energetic staff promptly waited on us. I ordered the Carnivor Panuzzo.....so glad I did! The Carnivor was loaded down with meats and oozing with a mountain of cheese. So much cheese that it stretch a mile long, when I took a bite. It was flavorful down to the last bite. I highly recommend this place and will come back whenever I'm in town....challenge excepted to try the whole menu!

This was my first time trying La Torcia. The pizza was ok. It did not have much of a taste, and there were parts that were burnt, but maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be since a brick oven was used? The pizza sticks were decent. My husband liked the chicken bacon ranch pizza, but I did not care for it. I have not decided yet if we will try again. Update: the general manager, Barbara, reached out to me via email and phone call. She was truly sorry and explained what happened. I will be giving them a try again because of her amazing customer service. Thank you, Barbara!

Stopped in after a sports tournament thinking we were just grabbing a quick pizza. La Torcia blew us away! We ordered the bruschetta sticks, the marinated steak paluzzo, pork Mac n cheese, and my husband did a build your own pizza. We were hungry so I forgot to snap pics when the food arrived but everything was incredible. My daughter that rarely finishes her food cleared her plate! Our server, Emerson, was everything a server should be. Sweet, funny, and attentive. We will definitely be back when we find ourselves in the area again!

My husband and I ate here for dinner on a Friday evening. The place was hopping busy but the service and food were fantastic! The young waitress was a joy. She was so positive and upbeat! We enjoyed our dinner here.

Food and service were so good! It was my family’s first time there and they went out of their way to welcome us! It was so hard to choose what to eat because everything on the menu looked delicious! The pizza was amazing!

Had the sweetest server! She was very attentive & engaging. Pizza was good too! Didn't know weather to seat ourselves or wait to be seated, but someone eventually noticed us...some of the apps are overpriced. We ordered chips and salsa and it was "okay" and cost almost 8 dollars. Restrooms were very clean and well maintained and restaurant was clean as well. Over all a pretty good experience.

After Milano’s in Lewisburg closed for good, the Mrs. and I were on the hunt for a new local pizza joint. Brick Oven checks all the boxes, and has quickly become our new neighborhood pizzeria.
